Pigmented Lesion Removal

The Palomar StarLux 500 Lux G and Lux V IPL units are perfectly suited for removal of freckles and age spots.

It is imperative a dermatologist does a thorough skin examination first to make sure there isn't a deadly unsuspected melanoma present. A consultation with a board-certified dermatologist is recommended first before undergoing this procedure at Klein Dermatology and Associates or any medi-spa.

The IPL units are especially effective when a person has a combination of brown spots and redness to remove at one time; with very little down-time. We have found it extremely effective for those annoying vessels on the sides of the nose. Call us at 503-445-2200 for pricing information.

Iridex DioLite

Another laser used at Klein Dermatology and Associates for vascular lesions is called the DioLite laser. It is useful for removing multiple cherry hemangiomas (red small moles) from the body with minimal pain, and for removal of stubborn spider veins around the nose.

Lumière

LumiereThis photo facial or light rejuvenation treatment is from a light emitting diode and is 100% painless and actually pleasant for most people.

Lumière works with the body's own natural processes to counteract the effects of chronological and photo-aging. The patented Lumière Light-Therapy™ device uses an array of carefully arranged LEDs to deliver pure, uniform, narrowband red light and works with Lumière Topical Skincare™ to activate a series of responses in the skin that convert light energy into the cellular building blocks required by the body.

Lumière is a 100% natural skincare regime that is non-laser, non-thermal, and non-invasive. The FDA has advised that the Lumière Light-Therapy™ device can be safely used to deliver cosmetic treatments and that the Lumière Light-Therapy™ device poses no risk to clients. No recovery time is needed and, not only is it pain-free, but clients often report a heightened sense of well-being and relaxation during the session. Dr. Klein doesn't agree with many of the claims made, but she does provide it to patients as an alternative who desire a completely non-invasive treatment for facial rejuvenation.

The red light applied to faces for 20 minutes per week has been found to be beneficial for patients with acne, seborrheic dermatitis, and psoriasis.
