General Policies

We request that patients arrive at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment in case there is any paperwork that requires attention.

If a patient arrives more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, it is possible they may be asked to be rescheduled. We do this as a courtesy to the other patients, as an effort to keep the providers running on time.

We appreciate a 24 hour notice given if an appointment needs to be cancelled.

Medical Appointments

For medical dermatology services, we accept many insurance plans such as Blue Cross, Medicare, Lifewise, MODA, Aetna, Cigna and some others. Many patients choose to utilize our office even though we are not preferred providers for HealthNet or Kaiser. Sometimes insurance companies will reimburse a partial payment for non participating providers, leaving a small balance due by the patient. Any co-pays are expected to be paid on the day of service immediately before the appointment.

We ask that patients keep cosmetic questions out of medical insurance paid appointments.

Cosmetic Appointments

There is a fee of $150 for cosmetic consultations, taken as a deposit at time of scheduling. Ideal skin care regimens, anti-aging skin care products, and cosmetic procedures can be discussed in these appointments with the doctor. Should you decide to pursue any of the recommended cosmetic procedure options discussed, this fee can be applied towards the procedure. If you do not show up for the consultation, the deposit is forfeited.

Payment is expected for cosmetic procedures on the day of the service for most services such as Botox®, Juvederm™, Radiesse™ and Sculptra™, rosacea laser, chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Credit cards and cash are acceptable forms of payment.

Voluma™ and Sculptra™ treatments require a deposit for scheduling.
