Starting January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act began to help consumers (patients) have new billing protections when getting emergency care, non-emergency care from out-of-network providers at in-network facilities, and air ambulance services from out-of-network providers. Through new rules aimed to protect consumers, excessive out-of-pocket costs are restricted, and emergency services must continue to be covered without any prior authorization, and regardless of whether or not a provider or facility is in-network.
We do our best to inform you of the charges in advance for both medical and cosmetic visits before the service is provided. We currently accept most insurance plans from Regence Blue Cross, Pacific Source (not Legacy), Aetna, Cigna and Providence. Many of our patients come here as self-pay patients to get the services they are denied elsewhere. If you would like a written estimate, please let us know.
There are numerous plans and they change their rules frequently. It is important that you learn about your insurance plan, especially know your deductible amount and if it has been met yet, as well as what kind of out of pocket expenses your plan still has you pay, after deductible is met.
