Ellacor consultations
Dr. Marla Klein MD has done more than 130 Ellacor procedures on face and neck. We are in the TOP 5 practices in the world, and with only 250 Ellacor machines currently made, that means Dr. Klein is more experienced than 97% other physicians or providers in the Ellacor procedure.
Our Ellacor treatments now are very comfortable with simply a topical and injected local anesthetic process, using safe amounts of lidocaine. Nerve blocks are not necessary.
Ellacor improvements are incremental - it takes 2 or 3 treatments to obtain the best results. Each procedure removes 5-7% of the skin on the lower face, but some patients need more skin removed than others do.

Wrinkle Relaxers ~ Which one is best for you? Time to change?
BOTOX is the original neurotoxin/neuromodulator/muscle relaxer/wrinkle softener/botulism toxin treatment. It is made by Allergan, who is now owned by AbbVie. Since the 2002 cosmetic use approval of BOTOX, it is used for many things, but at KDA we use BOTOX for aesthetic use, migraines and hyperhidrosis.
Several competitors have come out in the last 20 years: Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau and as of 2022, Daxxify. Daxxify or "Daxi" is made by the Revance, an American company. Revance also makes some HA fillers: Redensity, RHA2, RHA3 and RHA4.
We've been using Daxi a little over 2 years now and I feel it is at least the same, and in some cases, lasts longer than BOTOX, in 80% patients.
It takes almost twice as many units to perform the task, but the units cost less than Botox units.
