Communicating your goals and desires to a skin care professional can help you focus on the right skin care treatments and products for you. Setting realistic expectations is important.
Resurfacing issues may include red blood vessels, acne scars, brown age spots, fine wrinkles, thin translucent skin, acne, large pores, skin damage in the form of actinic keratoses (precancers) and rosacea. There is not one single treatment that can fix all these problems, so choosing the correct procedure takes advanced knowledge.
Klein Dermatology does not offer thermal energy treatments (radiofrequency and ultrasound) because I believe they are harmful to the skin.
Klein Dermatology & Associates now offers Ellacor microcoring technology - welcome to the future!

The Collagen P.I.N. is a Percutaneous Induction Therapeutic Micro-Needling Device that opens up a whole new horizon to skin treatments. It delivers the results that were previously only attained from fractional laser treatments. Collagen P.I.N. is a powerful step in the scientific evolution of aesthetics.
This evolutionary device has three times more needles than any other device on the market. The nurses at Klein Dermatology & Associates are passionate about getting results and are meticulous in getting the treatment area treated carefully several times.
An IPL machine sometimes gets called a laser, but technically it is not. Other names one might here for IPL are Photofacial and BBL standing for Broad Band Light. Lasers by definition are just one wavelength of light. The word LASER is an acronym that stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. These machines have a broad band spectrum, so multiple wave lengths, and can be used to remove lentigines, redness and blood vessels from the skin.
Our Palomar StarLux intense pulsed light system is a light treatment that is best utilized for removing redness and small blood vessels on the face for rosacea patients, and for some types of brown spot removal. A consultation is important first.
IPL is not the 'can do anything red or brown machine' that some med spas think it is.
At Klein Dermatology, IPL is a useful treatment for some kinds of issues, but an experienced person has to do the consultation, and the treatment for optimal outcomes. We do not use IPL for hair removal, because that is not a good use for it.
A Hydrafacial® is not a facial. It is an efficient use of 25-30 minutes to have your skin cleansed, hydrated, microdermabrasion, extractions and a AHA chemical peel. In addition there are boosters that can be added to increase the health of your skin.
As with most procedures, it isn't just the machine that creates the results, it is also the person doing the service. The staff at Klein Dermatology are careful and thorough, and their results are awesome, and the patients have been very satisfied.
